One of the most rewarding parts of what we do is helping homeowners see the potential in a house they’ve lived in for years. This project is a great example of how a few well-planned architectural changes can completely change the way a home feels.
Working from designs by Hierarchy Architects, Foschi Construction Corp. removed the existing siding and roof and began building a new exterior from the framing outwards. A new dormer, roof overhangs, and updated gable details gave this house a stronger architectural presence without changing its footprint. A standing seam metal roofing added contrast, while new siding and Azek trim gave the home a clean, finished appearance.
The homeowners also wanted an outdoor space that fit the updated design, so we extended the side deck using Azek decking, installed custom cable railings, and incorporated a built-in hot tub. At the front entrance, custom mahogany corbels and columns brought in a natural wood element that stands out beautifully against the white exterior.
Looking at the before and after photos, it’s hard to believe it’s the same house. The layout stayed much the same, but thoughtful design, quality materials, and careful craftsmanship gave it an entirely different character. Projects like this are a reminder that you don’t always need to build new to make a home feel new.
