Nassau Country Club – Men’s Locker Room Renovation
Nassau Country Club was incorporated in 1896. It has a long glorious history. It is located on the Gold Coast of Long Island’s North Shore.
The Men’s Locker Room was in need of a renovation. We installed a new suspended acoustical ceiling, accented with 3 wood plank “accent clouds” by Armstrong. New LED lighting and a fire sprinkler system were also installed into the ceiling. The existing metal lockers were electrostatically spray painted with Benjamin Moore “White Dove” and then covered in a “waterfall” of richly stained cherrywood. The wood work was fabricated for to us by A. Losee & Son in Glen Cove. The painted walls are Benjamin Moore “Hale Navy.” The accent walls are covered with a blue/gray herringbone wall covering. The blue plaid carpeting and hemmed carpet base provides a lush surface tying together the entire space. The entire project went smoothly and we thoroughly enjoyed working with the club’s construction committee, the architect, Frank Falino and the very talented interior design team of Mary Striano and Keri Flynn. The end result is a very handsome space for club members and their guests to get ready for a day of golf, tennis, cocktails and dinner and all the other activities this magnificent club offers.
